Two reasons I love Magneto:

(for those who don't know, Red Skull is a Nazi, and Magneto is a holocaust survivor)

I am obviously dubbed "Deutschtard" for a reason. This is one of them. I flail over this more than the original version:

All three of them have been translated into German now. and I love them all XD Translating these takes a shitload of patience, I'm sure. So my respect goes out to the guys who do them.

Some guy plays the Team Rocket theme on an actual pipe organ and punctuates it with the adorably dweeby James laugh. I am enough of a dork to find this awesome.

Dude, that takes serious skill to play them thar things. I asked the organist at my grandparents church how long it took him to learn, and he just laughed at me and said hes' STILL learning. Those things are like... four keyboards, one you play WITH YOUR FUCKING FEET.

anyway, yes, that is awesome and I haven't played pokemon in almost a decade. And he's doing it in a church -snort-. and I am not lying when I say that I honestly LOL'ed at that little dorky laugh XD

Jedi accuses UK department store of religious discrimination

The article is brief, so I'll just quote it in its entirety.

Quote:
Remember Barbara Adams, the woman who wore her Star Trek uniform even while serving as a juror on the Whitewater trial? We thought her dedication to sci-fi was so above and beyond the call of duty it would never be matched, but a report in today's London Telegraph proves we should never say never.

According to Daniel Jones, founder of the International Church of Jediism, staff at a Tesco department store in Bangor, North Wales, ejected him over security fears when he refused to remove his hood.

"I told them it was a requirement of my religion, but they just sniggered and ordered me to leave," said Jones, also known by his Jedi name Morda Hehol. "I walked past a Muslim lady in a veil. Surely the same rules should apply to everyone."

The handbook of the U.K. Jedi Church, which was founded last year by Jones—excuse us, Morda Hehol—states that "Jedis must wear a hood up in any public place of a large audience." The religion is practiced by 500,000 around the world.

"It was discrimination," said Jones. "I was really upset. Nobody should be treated like that."

What makes it an awesome, you'll ask? Because of this:

Quote:
A Tesco spokesman had this response:

"Jedi are very welcome to shop in our stores although we would ask them to remove their hoods. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Luke Skywalker all went hoodless without going to the Dark Side. If Jedi walk around our stores with their hoods on, they'll miss lots of special offers."

I just realized that being a Jedi requires no larger degree of faith than being a member of any other religion. That's a tad unnerving.

...

This is, except for the part where the source material is knowingly and deliberately fictional.

And dear God is that TF2 map awesome. I need to try if out some time. Also, I have a friend who will really appreciate that Rocket theme.

Oh, that was beautiful, but I was most amused by the absolutely gleeful little(?) brother who taped the whole thing. He was just so happy.

This guy does hysterical edits of The Next Generation. You don't have to know much about the show to find the stuff funny. There's no story and no sense, though I'd recommend watching them in order so that you won't miss any running jokes. I nearly cried laughing, as did my mom who heard the noise and was curious.

I must have some inborn gift for syncing things, because I've been dicking around with Youtube Doubler for the past few days and it's been continually blowing my mind.

Here are some of my mashups (Wait for both videos to load, then mute the one on the right and start both at approximately the same time):

LoGH, with some gravy and fries.

Eureka Seven made even more stoner-y.

Ween Genesis Evangelion.

Syd Barret initiates Third Impact. (Eva spoilers)

Leonard Nimoy initiates Third Impact. (Same clip as above)

The worst knife fight ever, to the best knife fight music ever.

ETA: The Turkish Star Wars soundtrack - restored!

ETA2: a bit late to the party on this one but hey
