Edward leaves while Bella is pregnant with his sextuplets. This is not mainly an Edward and Bella story. This story is mainly about the sextuplets. |
First of all... SEXTUPLETS?? For real?? Second of all... well, at least they're honest that this fic is just going to be blatant Sue wish-fulfilment. Most authors won't admit that up front. |
I'm rolling. The matter-of-factness is what makes this one so funny: no urple embellishments or rhetorical questions, just "This story is mainly about the sextuplets." |
So, if eight babies makes a woman an octomom, then six babies makes her...a sexy mom? |

| Currently searching for Tolstoy fandom. Found these: | Quote: | I Don't Wanna Make Biscuits by Tristan-the-Dreamerreviews
Val, Val, Val...You're gonna pay for your lack of interest in domestic matters...This New Blood fic is about as long as a cheese doodle so if you want a novel...go hang out with Leo Tolstoy! |
Heh, I can't decide if I like this odd summary or not.
From the Babylon 5 fandom:

Orange juice. Tolstoy. Vodka. Breakfast foods. |
*snort*
| Quote: | War and Peace 2 by Chris-One
The sequel to novel "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy. |
I am disappoint that Tolstoy moved on to Anna Karenina before he could pen War and Peace 2: Electric Boogaloo. By the way, it's a 499-word one-shot that involves Agent Xero and the Jonas Brothers fighting the Napoleonic Wars. |

| I just came across one in the Titanic section of FF.net titled No Bandage or Words.
What is that even supposed to mean? |

A fic with no words? Could the author be probing the philosophical meaning of writing by publishing nonexistent fiction? Or they're code words? I got nothing... |

Sounds like there was a good intent, but fanbrat's poor brain cells fizzled out before they could make a connection. It's the thought that counts, right? Hm, I know that there were fic "auctions" after the Japanese quake, but it doesn't sound like this one was affiliated with any... |

| For reasons that are beyond me right now, I decided to take a quick look at FFN's Bleach section. | I've written Wish-Fulfilment fanfics with OCs before (although I'd like to hope they're not Mary Sues) but something I've made a practice of is trying to be extremely subtle about mentioning that I've got an OC.
Because that has a real tendency to put people off.
There's only one question I like to put in my summaries - How? Generally I could probably do some improvement on my summaries but I don't want to give away too much. |

| I know it's a double post, but hey, it is a new point...
You know what I hate? The title "Kissed By A Rose" in fics. Especially when people use the chorus in the fic. They clearly don't understand the meaning of the song.
It's about sex. Very, very much so. Lots and lots of extremely passionate sex. And orgasms. I'm not even going to explain it all here because all you have to do is look up the lyrics.
So no, it doesn't fit your adorable little fic about "Oooh, (male) and (female) share a sweet little kiss." It's more fitting to "Oooh, (male) and (female) have good, hard, passionate sex all night long with multiple orgasms each."
In fact it's not even like there's just a handful. There are over 600 stories with that in their title. Over 500 are a T rating or under. 500 are tagged with romance.
The song's about SEX. Not kissing, SEX, dammit! Even before I understood all the metaphors I knew it was really about sex, so stop using it for cuddly fics! |

Unfortunately Jayden's sister does not have split personalities. |

It's pretty bad when the word 'summary' is right in front of you (in plural form) when you're writing your summary and you still can't spell it correctly.
| Quote: | My Happy Ending » by Nesi Cullen reviews What happens to Seth after Breaking Dawn, who is this new girl that is spicing up the Cullen and the Pack's lives. |
If you can't use the right punctuation in your summary then I shudder to think what you story looks like. |

Author, you don't entice a reader to your story by telling them there's nothing in it.

| The thing that always bugs me is "Summary inside". If the author can't sum up their fic in one or two sentences, it's way too involved for me to read. Back! |

First read through, it sounds disturbingly like her mother is keeping her father's dead body in the house (I'm having visions of a female Norman Bates here-"Father hasn't been...well, lately.").
On the other hand, it would give the Sue extra angst points. |

| Lmao omg, so many of these are so fucking funny. I can't think of any awful summaries I've come across. I usually erase the ones with horrible spelling from my mind and ignore the ones with short summaries or are full of caps that are yelling at me about how the summary is inside and to review. However, I noticed the whole "thin line between love and hate" post and decided to search "summery" on FF.net out of curiosity...(can't post the link but you'll see what I mean if you search it). Nearly over 9,000 fics with "summery"...and they're not talking about anything related to summer. Is it really hard to spell out "summary", correctly? I thought maybe it was foreign language problems, but no...they're nearly all English fics. |
