Or, "How did they let you on TV, again?"
The show at hand may be good, the premise is interesting, the content is watchable, but goddamn, the host makes you want to do something violent to your television and/or speaker set. I try not to let television personalities ruin the entire show for me, but when they're on every episode, you become incredibly skilled at using the DVR remote.

Mary Murphy
, one of the judges on So You Think You Can Dance. Good god, someone make this woman shut up. I don't care how much ballroom experience she has. In professional sports, your opinion of the performance can be summarized with a fraction of ten. There is absolutely no need to scream yourself hoarse after every single performance. Shut up. Just... shut up.

Ryan Seacrest, from American Idol. I can never tell if this guy is constantly stalling for time, or if everything that comes out of his mouth is just as dull and uninteresting.

Lastly, I'd mention all of Fox News, but that'd just be shooting fish in a barrel.

I can't stand Fox News. My dad watches it all the fucking time and everyone on there makes me wanna punch someone. Like, I don't know shit about politics and anything related to it, but listening to a bunch of old, fat guys complaining about the president every single night gets really, really annoying really, really fast. Dude, what's the point? Billy Mays is already dead.

Although the dude who hosts Unwrapped pisses me off. It's weird, because I totally support him for fighting his OCD through hosting Double Dare and I understand he was good on that, it just...I wanna punch him in the THROAT when he does that smug little "I made a funny" face. Maybe it's the writers.

I used to dislike Mike Rowe, but he seriously grew on me. Still enjoy seeing him getting grunged, though.

So much of it for me is the voice. Mike Rowe has that smooth, silky "I'm a motherfucking singer" voice that I enjoy, no matter if I like or dislike the guy and his "lol, I'm such an average joe" business.

Now, Penn and Teller, make me want to choke a bitch. I generally agree with most of their episodes. But the constant yelling and the Practically Gilbert Gottfried Voice makes it totally unwatchable.

Jeremy fucking Kyle. The man is just horrible. I hate his smug face. I hate the way he is horrible to his guests. I hate the way he thinks he is always right. I just want to punch him so hard.

I also totally hate Cheryl Cole, but I think we're sending her off to your side of the pond so I won't have to listen to her nails-down-a-blackboard accent and watch her crocodile tears anymore.

So, you didn't watch any other news network from 2000-2008?

Because. . . yeah.

THIS. They're showing the US series over here now, and as much as I love that show to bits, I have to change the channel as soon as the routine is over. The Hot Tamale Train has come so many times the ticket isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Thirded and I'll also have to add Mia Michaels. I didn't much care for her in previous seasons for being a right ol' bitch to the dancers but this season she completely stepped over the line from Hard Ass Instructor to Hateful Spiteful Bully. There was this one dancer that was auditioning named Brandon and everyone save for her and one other judge thought he was absolutely brilliant. However, not only did Mia feel the need to say she didn't think he was that great (which is par for the course), she also launched a rather lengthy and vicious personal attack on the poor kid who was all of 19 years old. Even worse, when her turn to talk was over and another judge (Debbie Allen) disagreed with her and tried to give the guy some positive comments, Mia interrupted her and tried to talk over her by continuing to lambaste the guy. It got so bad that Nigel (the head judge and executive producer of the show) had to step in and tell her to STFU (nicely, of course). Anyone who's seen the show knows that if he says that a judge needs to tone it down, it's really fucking bad.

Also: Tyce Diorio for the exact same reason. He couldn't just leave it with saying he thought a dancer was bad, he had to elaborate for 20 seconds or so with increasingly negative comments on how horrid it was. Telling a dancer they were bad and saying they have no future in dancing is one thing; going on and on and on about how "horrific" their performance was is just cruel. It seems that a few of those judges are actively trying to make these auditioners break down.

Oh yeah, I remember when he stepped over the line with Billy Ray Cyrus and was forced to apologize.

Aww, I think he's OK. He's one from the British version. This is probably because the rest of the British judges are just awful. I swear the lady one is perpetually drunk all the time.

Ty Pennington - Do they give this guy 10 cans of Red Bull before turning the cameras on?

Andy Rooney - Yes, I know he's a living legend at CBS. But lately his "cranky grandpa" routine is wearing thin.

Keith Olberman - Because the guy is basically Bill O'Reilly, only left wing.

Any MTV Host - Because their personalities range from 'bland' to 'annoying'.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Jillian Barbarie? Her bimbo act is as phoney as a three-dollar bill.

You mention Mary and I forget all about how much I hate those two as well. I feel sorry for anyone that has to dance when they're up to judge. What makes me the angriest is they're supposed to have more of a professional attitude than that. This show has given them an awful attitude towards newcomers, and ever since Mia won that award, I feel like her routines have become too similar to each other and are get stale.

Katie Couric & Matt Laure/Lowr/however you spell it.

I mean, if aliens began abducting hundreds of people from Rockafeller plaza, they would still cover "How to use your dog to attract older women" or some similarly unimportant topic.

I think you mean Meredith Viera. Katie Couric does the CBS Evening News now, and Viera took Couric's job next to Matt Lauer.

"A bunch of fat old guys complaining about the ______" might as well be the very definition of politics.

Chris Matthews. He was dead to me anyway, but any supposedly objective journalist who talks openly about getting tingly thrills down his leg over the president . . . yyyeah. Not so much.

He's pretty much reviled by both sides either for his less-than-difficult interview style (most sites mock it as "Softball") as well as his tendency to suck up to whichever party happens to be in power.

The Canadian sportscaster Brian Williams, not to be confused with the American journalist of the same name. A classic example of his annoyingness came during the Nagano Olympics, where he made a comment about the pronunciation of Nagano, making it sound like the Japanese had changed the pronunciation to annoy him, instead of the Japanese actually correcting our Western mangling of their language.

Oprah's support of that anti-vax scare-mongering twat Jenny McCarthy did it for me.
