Let the gluttony for punishment begin again! Now's the time to start preparing for your thirty days of panicked storylines, mammoth-sized plot holes, and obsessive word count watching.

So, what WGW-ers are up for NaNo? I'm going to try again this year, although I fully anticipate crashing and burning once again. But that's half the fun.

Who's with me?

I'm participating again! I plan on finishing the zombie book, and continuing on another one. I know it's not just ONE novel I'm working on, but I'm very excited about finally writing the (not so) thrilling conclusion to the zombie book!!

I have time this year, so hell yeah. I didn't get too far last year, but then again, I wasn't really in the mood for NaNo. Now I can't wait for November to get here.

I have no idea what will come of it this year because I'm supposed to be writing my thesis, but I'll at least try. Hetalia has eaten my soul, so I'll be trying to put together some kind of Prussia/Romano fanfic.

Been looking forward to/dreading November for some days now. Now the good thing is I have some ideas for what to write about... on the other hand I have trouble deciding which idea I want to choose. Hopefully I'll have decided at the end of this month.

I made a start on a fanfic in June but made it to about a week of writing a page a day. So I guess I could do that, as long as I get the greenhouse fixed up and everything put inside by the end of the month (it's one of those little poly ones and the flapping has wrecked some of the plastic. So I'm putting some damp-proof membrane over the top and sticking it down with PVC tape, which beats the crap out of the so-called all weather tape I bought).

I always do this. It only worked the once, but I keep trying.

This year, I am writing a Zorro novel, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm writing my Legolas by Laura (without Legolas) fic. It's actually worked out pretty well. I'm focusing more on Laura's past, and her possible connection to a vanished civilization. Or did they?

All right. Gearing up. The work I started last NaNo and continued with JulNo is at approximately 80,000 words and halfway done with the plot. Currently there are five factions and two main plotlines plus at least one sub-plotline within each faction, told from four character's POVs.

Damn, I didn't realize how byzantine this is turning out.

I first took the plunge last year but couldn't quite make it to the finish line. Hopefully the second time will be the charm.

oh goddddddd I always want to try, and I never make it past the first week. I doubt this time will be any better, especially since we'll be moving. I would love to actually finish a Shadowrun story though oh man would I love that.

Is that going to be fanfiction about a specific version of Zorro or more of an original story?

Mostly original. The names of the characters are coming from McCulley's Curse of Capistrano (I love the public domain Smile ), the general setting is mostly inspired by the Disney show, but characterizations, plotting, and everything else is pretty much me.

Sounds great. Do you plan to try to get it published if you finish it, or would you just post it online? The Zorro fandom is so quiet that I'm sure everyone would be just thrilled to read a good, long story.

I haven't decided yet. If it looks like it would otherwise be destined for the shoebox under my bed, then I probably would post it online. There'd certainly be no reason not to at that point.

I am going to try it this year, depending on what work is like. But it means I will need to spend all day, every weekend writing, because I know there is no way i can work on it during a work day.

I believe I finished it on September 6. I purposely put it at 99.whatevertheheckitwas% since I still had to weave in all the loose ends and tie on all the tassels once all the knitting was done. But, at last, the whole thing was complete. Anyway, here are some pictures.

The colors in the show were more drab than mine, which ended up being more jewel tones. But still, overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Now, if there would only be a day cold enough for me to finally wear it, I'd be all set. Smile

Because I am a god better than you amazing, over the last three days I have written a sex scene with nearly 20,000 words. And it's not complete yet. And it might turn multi-chapter.

And yes, there are hedgehogs. And it's hardcore.

But no rape! It's all totally consensual Amy cheating on Sonic with Scourge! Totally consensual! Otherwise he wouldn't be able to crush Sonic's soul into a fine blue powder!
