I'll give ya'll the shorter version.

A 13-year old girl from the Kumamoto Prefecture was drowned by her Father (50) and a Buddhist Cult Monk (56) in a apparent attempt to "excise evil demon's from her".

The girl stopped going to school about 7 months piror, and despite the school trying to conduct 6 home visit's, they where blocked from seeing her each by her father, who had quit his job some 4 years prior after joining the Cult.

The girl died when she was strapped under a water austerity with her face directly under it and drowned. She was subjected to this for 5 minutes a time, some 100 times over a 3-month period in some ritual to "cleanse her body of spirits".

Authorities only learned of her death when her Father called the school to tell them she had died. An investigation followed and the girl's father, as well as the monk where arrested for Mansalugther.

The Buddhist Cult in question, the Nakayama Shingo Shusho, is a largely secretive sect, with 350 Temples and over 300,000 followers all across Japan.

You know, it's crap like this that really knocks Buddism back.

I don't know the law in Japan, but here in Glorious NukedTheirSmugAssesIntoDust Land, something so utterly fucking reckless isn't manslaughter, it's 2nd degree murder. Something about depraved indifference.

I know nothing about Japanese or German laws concerning murder, but I do know that repeatedly submerging someone in water to attempt to 'drive evil spirits from them' is most likely going to result in them eventually drowning; even if only by accident.

So, I take it they were slapped on the wrists by the government and let free? /sarcasm cause that would be totally awesome and make me convert to buddism if I could get away with sanctioned murder cleansing
