| That's right, anything you love be it book, movie, tv show, cartoon, anime, flash game, youtube video/channel. Post it here and share the love.
Anime.
Tiger and Bunny
The new show from sunrise, it's both a decostruction and reconstruction of the Super Hero genre and has fans ranging from 16 to 40 both male and female, no matter what they'll be something here for you.
Fairy Tail
Take one massive guild of wizards, a load of awesome characters, some epic fights and a metric but load of property damage and you've pretty much got Fairy Tail, it's your typical shonen fair in most regards but ahs managed to stay fresh over 4 years so that's something worth mentioning at least. ( that and the author does seem to have some sort of end game in mind if you look carefully)
Youtube Channels
Total Biscuit
This man is just entertaining, his main videos are Star Craft 2 and Wow(currently on hiatus) but he also does the WTF series, a list of first impressions on games, mostly off steam, alot of which are sent to him by the developers for his feed back, a great place for gamers.
Webcomics (Sorta)
Double K
Take Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and make it a buddy cop show, teh result, AWESOME!!! |

| OK, I'm game...
Books
Moral Combat--This is a book by British historian and scholar Michael Burleigh that examines the moral aspects of the Second World War. Definitely worth your time.
Movies
The Towering Inferno--The quintessential disaster movie. And as a bonus, it helped get stricter fire safety laws passed in America.
Games
Mafia Wars--One of the best games, if not THE best game, available on Facebook.
YouTube Channels
ALogTV--The brainchild of one Anthony "ALog" LoGatto of Staten Island, this channel is made of epic win. Some of the funniest and most insightful commentaries you'll find on YouTube. |

| Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. There's not a lot I was into at 12 or 13 I'm still keen on today, but ever since reading my first one in my old School library 16 or 17 years ago I've enjoyed pretty much all of them, repeatedly. Through Good Omens he properly introduced me to Gaiman's work as well (I later realised I had previously seen some Gaiman storys in 2000AD but they were oneshots and didn't especially stick with me) and I've enjoyed most everything of Gaiman's I've read since. The Discworld series is tremendously funny in places, but Pterry also spins a good plot, and engaging characters who I liked coming back to again and again (even if it took a while in some cases). One of the best bit was completely missing some of the jokes first time round and then seeing them later and getting it. Like with Llamedos. So, yeah. Good stuff man. |

No, really. All Facebook games boil down to clicking on a few buttons and seeing some very brief text about what clicking that button meant.
But you can't click that button too much... unless you want to pay them with real money. And in order to actually be a competitive character -that is, if you want to win fights against other players by clicking on their buttons- you are going to have to shell out real cash. You can spend just as much in Farmville, Frontierville, Mafia Wars or Vampire Wars as you would on a brand new, fully-developed video game like inFAMOUS 2, LA Noire, Duke Nukem Forever and the like (that is, sixty goddamn bucks), all for the privilege of clicking on a damn "Do Job" or "Fight!" button.
You can reduce the cost somewhat by badgering all your Facebook friends into joining your shit (they're going to have to hear about it anyway every time you click Share It! to let everyone know that you clicked on a "Do Job" button) or by being a shill for affiliated products, but all this does is make you obnoxious to your FB friends for the sake of clicking on that goddamn "Do This Job" button one more time.
Anyway, some recommendations:
Books
Monster Hunter International and Monster Hunter: Vendetta by Larry Correia.
Basically, PMC versus zombies, vampires, werewolves, trolls, unspeakable horrors from other dimensions... they're pretty good.
Youtube Channels
Tobuscus - This guy also has an alternate channel devoted to Let's Plays and walkthroughs, but most of his stuff is pretty funny. Except the vlogs. Those are boring.
Games
League of Legends - From the people behind DotA. Free to play, with additional characters and skins for sale. Unlike other games, if you stick with the stuff that's free to play, you're not really hampered in any way; other Champions just represent different play styles more than anything else. |

Oh, recommendations.
I imagine a lot of people have heard of Gunnerkrigg Court, but if you haven't, go do so! It's an awesome webcomic. |

| Webcomics:
The Perry Bible Fellowship
Not the least bit religion-related; they're all funny in usually a very dark way.
Youtube channels:
Ritzbitz8
He mashes clips of various cartoons, animes, videogames and movies together, remixes them, or adds sound effects to achieve funny. I forget the name for those.
The Little Fears
She retells creepypasta or urban legends, making really eerie videos of them. She uses sound very effectively, not to mention her voice is absolutely perfect for this kind of thing. |

| Anime
The last anime I ever bought is also one of the best. Hunt out Daiguard if you can. Especially if you're an Evangellion fan.
Webcomics:
Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic can be found at YAFGC.net. It's enormous and updates every day, so new readers may find it a little daunting, but stick with it. As the series goes on, it drops the nudity/sex gags as well as many of the D&D references, and moves into a more detailed relationship and fantasy epic. Check it out.
Books:
The Road by Cormac McCarthy was one of the many books to inspire the look, feel and overall atmosphere of the more recent Fallout games. (It's also a pretty good film too)
Anything by China MiƩville is a good read. I'd recommend Perdido Street Station over his others, though.
Games:
I think this game was brought to my attention through this website, but I reckon it deserves a new mention and a new load of fans: Silent Conversation is a fantastic melding of book and game. If nothing else it's a great way to read H.P. Lovecraft's 'The Nameless City', and probably introduce yourself to the Cthlulu mythos stories, if you're not already acquainted with them!

Through the Wormhole: Go get cable. Get the Science Channel. (Lapin totally did not get cable just for the Science Channel, why do you ask?)(They included HBO) Watch this show.
Why?
Because it is the best science show ever, seriously beating out Bill Nye the Science Guy's spot in my childhood heart. Morgan Freeman is narrating, and it is crazy-fucking-awesome, talking about blind sight and the LHC, and tiny black holes, and -! (Sciencegasm) (Yes, that's a thing, shut up)

I second this I have it DVRd and watch it after my parents are finished with their Waltons marathons. |
