None of you asked for it, none of you even thought about it. But it's coming, and it's very very real.
Him (and her of course) in a game with him(and prolly him too yes)
I'm not kidding.
You may now proceed to go ape-shit.

I can't wait to hear about teenage prosecutors with perfect records and defense attorneys with superpowers being led around the nose some more, possibly with "turnabout" in the chapter titles.

Somath hon, please fix the typo in the thread title.
I've never played Professor Layton but hey, a new Ace Attorney game is a new Ace Attorney game.

I saw this on /a/ last night (...seriously, I never go on there, but of all times to take a peek!). My inner fangirl has a giant smile.

I've never played any of the Layton games, but now I kind of want to. I've avoided them on purpose because I have the impression that they only have mechanical puzzles (like slider puzzles, math puzzles, which of these five doesn't belong here etc.). I hate that kind of games. Are they really like that? If yes, do they at least have entertaining storylines to balance it out?

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. For puzzles, yes, they do contain the types you mentioned. There are also trick questions, logic puzzles (If A said this and B said that and C said the other and D said something else, which one is the liar?), traditional stuff like variations on the Tower of Hanoi puzzle, puzzles where you need to find the proper route or divide an area into equal bits containing X, Y, and Z...
The stories are completely ridiculous and very fun. The second game will probably make you want to hit something if you're not prepared for the Big Twist, though.
WTF, Capcom, are you taking pages out of Bamco's book of "How to Piss Off Western Gamers"?
... *sigh* And since petitions usually do jack and squat, time to get my Japanese up to a level where I can play this.

I like the kind of puzzles where you have to say the right thing to people or find an item at location A and then use it at location B/give it to someone who needs it. I really have no idea how to explain the kind of puzzles that I don't like. I suppose all I can say is that games like Myst or Keepsake aren't my thing. Anyway, it looks like the Layton games aren't quite what I thought, so maybe I'll give them a try when I run out of other things to play. Thanks for the info!

Nintendo is as Nintendo does. Expect to see Mario Galaxy Kart 300 coming to a store near you.

Considering Nintendo is having no creative imput in this, blaming them in this case is like blaming the stage when the band refuses to turn up.

More like blaming the record company for not selling the band's album in certain countries, but yeah.

Yup, he's right. The album company would be Capcom and Level 5 in this simile, since they're the distributors. The band would be the development team who programs the game. The 3DS is simply the means to play the game, Nintendo has nothing to do with it otherwise.

If this isn't released in the US, Capcom's going to lose money due to the sheer amount of people that will pirate it. Because let's face it, people WILL find a way to emulate the 3DS, or at least put games on flash carts. How could they think releasing it outside of Japan isn't a good idea?

IIRC, you can buy Beatles' tunes off iTunes now.
Don't really care if it matters, though. The money is not going to them, and a lot of people hear on the radio/pirated somehow/bought CDs anyway.
