| Like LJ's Ask Me Anything but for WGW and guests and with only WGW's rules applying. None of that 'Think before you post' nonsense.
So, my "Can't be bothered to google" starter question is:
Do you serve placenta with a red wine or a white wine, or maybe a stronger liquor or even a weaker beer? |

| It is my understanding that placenta is of a reddish hue implying it may be more like a red meat. A lighter red wine, such as a Pinot Noir, will complement the softer texture of the meat. |

| I'd say it depends on wether you eat it raw or spiced and roasted. Or however.
Raw it's supposed to taste like grapes - I suppose I would chose a white for that, then. |

Google agrees with you.
WTF is wrong with you that you would know that. |

Regarding the placenta or the wine? Wine knowledge comes from my folks who know this shit for some reason.
The answer to what texture and color does placenta have is "I don't fucking know and I'm a little ashamed I do".

| No I meant why the fuck would you know what wine goes with placenta, specifically. |

I've never even heard of polenta. I could have asked polaris, because apparantly "To the Bedouin people of the Negev and Sinai, Polaris is known as الجديّ al-jadiyy, "the billy goat". " and while I have eaten goat I really don't know what wine, if any, is favoured with billy goat either.

I'm a little disappointed you said that last part. I was totally going to hop all over that.
Question, though: are there are rules about who asks what? Like only whoever answered the last person's question can ask another one? |

| Nah. Phew, that was an easy one to answer! Lets make the answer more complicated: If individual users fancy rules and can get other users to abide by 'em, then go nuts! If not, well, "Nah" says it all. |

Yes.
Nevermind, I got two hours of sleep last night and my reading comprehension is awesome and thus foiled my admittedly poor attempt at being witty. |

| You should ask WGW. Though given that it's a semi-automated internet board, it probably wouldn't care much one way or the other.
Why is the 'Love Shy' thread still going? And what is the probability that SPRQ is one of Knorg's sockpuppets? |

| The Love-Shy thread continues for the same reason the arguement about gender neutral bathroom discussion never ends. "But what if women/men don't like that men/women are in their bathroom?" "Tough nuts. Your uncomfort is not priority. The discrimination against gender non-conforming is." "Why do there need to be gender neutral bathrooms anyway?" "So that gender non-conforming people don;t have to use bathrooms that segregate them based on an identity they don't subscribe to without being told they're in the wrong bathroom or forced out by security or police." "...but what if we don't like it?" *facepalm* ...can you tell I'm taking a women and gender studies course? |

Obviously. I've got a FtM friend who's currently in the process of transgendering, and he's had no end of trouble at the various places he's worked because of the whole 'which bathroom does he use' and 'but it creeps me out to have him using my bathroom because he's not actually a guy yet!'
It's better now that he's on hormone treatment, because he honestly looks so much like a guy, you wouldn't know the difference unless you'd known him before. He finally managed to find a decent job where his boss isn't an asshole about his status, so he's doing fine. Not bad for a kid that, less than a year ago was living in a homeless shelter with nothing but the clothes on his back. |

Fixed something for you. "Transgender" cannot be a verb, the appropriate means to describe it is to transition (and transition can be anything from purely social transition to physical transition).
I am at a loss on bathrooms. It's not all fun and games being outside sex and gender binary, where the hell will I ever feel comfortable going in? Nowhere, that's where. I avoid public bathrooms. Thank god I don't have a small bladder.
But I've never heard of an endless discussion about gender neutral public bathrooms. The Love-Shy thread keeps going because people say something stupid or rehash the stupid, and some other people keep genuinely trying to help out. And some people say something insulting on other, somewhat unrelated issues, and people jump in on that.
Now, Rae. You're in the mood for some nutrition, that's what you're in the mood for. Lots of hate sex now, WGW? |

But making bathrooms gender-neutral will just make a different group of people uncomfortable. I mean, it won't be better, just different. Clearly, the solution is to have a third type of bathroom. Yes, even in your tiny starbucks on the corner. |

And no you're right. But when i think of having more gender neutral bathrooms, I think of having a multitude of one-toilet restrooms. But then again, I guess really the hope is that they'll have a Battlestar Galactica type situation where the bathrooms are just not seperated by gender- if theres a bathroom, use it. Which will make people uncomfortable, yes, but really, thats just not priority. I guess the problem is that there are just too many instances with people making bathroom users leave or calling the police on them if they seem to look too much like the other side. Especially since there's a law saying that you can use whatever bathroom you want here. I actually have a card somewhere in my room from the gender queer association in my college saying that god forbid I ever felt the urge to go pee in the mens room, I can. Although really, I don't need it. I just kept it for lulz. And God forbid I have a friend who need it. |

Huh. I was under the impression the wish for gender neutral bathrooms was for a third one. You know, like how there are "family bathrooms" and stuff. Well whatever, lmao.
Also, I think the card wouldn't really help me feel any better about the issue. |

You have to submit while they do what they must even though it feels quite annoying and violating, but at least they have something to offer to show its not so bad.
...Ok, its a crappy analogy, but you get my point. At least i guess that's how I'd have to see it if it did make me uncomfortable. The idea of anyone using the girls bathroom is fine with me, as long as I still get stalls to separate me from everyone else. But that was my case before this was a problem anywho. I'm not entirely sure what exactly they want out of a gender neutral bathroom, whether it be a third big bathroom that can be used by anyone or just not denying the right to use whichever one they want. I can't say I know enough about the fight. |

Clearly, my suggestion of three bathrooms in every Starbucks is the way forward!!!
Also, here, when you're at a big party or something the girls will eventually start lining up outside the men's bathroom. It's not a matter of "if", only "when". Going off their expressions, the guys tend to be slightly bemused, but happy enough to go bumper-to-bumper with so many girls. And the girls only use the stalls, so the guys still get through faster. |
