| Denver Airport is definitely wierd and freaky. I am loathed to believe conspiracy theories but there is a lot of strange stuff. You can't argue that there are some obvious Masonic symbols dotted about.

| Oh God, that airport. I've been there tons of times, and it never gets less unsettling. Besides the weird murals (this one is my favorite) there're also gargoyle statues staring at you as you claim your baggage and as you're pulling out onto the highway you've got an enormous blue statue of a horse with red eyes. Apparently the horse statue also fell on and killed its designer, but that might just be a legend.
All in all a weird, weird place. Though I will say their security checkpoints go about an hour quicker than most other airports I've been to.

Uhhh, whether or not you subscribe to the conspiracy theories, the airport itself is strange enough to warrant a discussion if just for the choice of decor. There are murals of dead children and nazi storm troopers and what is honestly a very frightening statue of a horse (especially if you're driving by it at night, when the eyes glow.) I think it's bizarre that not only were these decorations conceptualized by an artist but they had to be okayed by someone, and no one in the chain of command thought this was inappropriate decor for an airport. |
